Overview
Zoe ($ZOE) is a Solana meme token built around an anti-AI mascot. The character began life as an AI-generated illustration. A commenter told the creator to pick up a pencil, and the creator responded with a rough, hand-drawn version of the same girl. Communities on Reddit, principally r/antiai, preferred the messy human drawing to the polished generated one, and Zoe became shorthand for a wider sentiment: human doodles over generated perfection, "pick up the pencil," reject AI slop.
The project maintains a website at zoeantiai.xyz and launched through a community Discord (discord.gg/uxento) with fair-launch messaging.
Why it ran
Crypto Twitter framed Zoe as the opposite side of the AI-token trade. The argument: if AI agent tokens run during a bull phase, an anti-AI mascot can run on the equally large "normies hate AI slop" constituency, in the same way Fartcoin ran as the pure-sentiment counterweight to serious infrastructure narratives.
