Overview
GIPP ($GIPP) is a Solana token attached to a developer known as Gipp (@gipp69), who built a tool around Grokbot during the week of Grokbot's release in August 2026. The project reached an all-time high market capitalisation of approximately $482,000.
Origin
Gipp published his work during the Grokbot release window. The post was reposted by Elon Musk, which supplied the initial attention and drove the surrounding narrative. Gipp later stated publicly that he had woken up to find the repost and had not expected the level of interest it generated.
Funding and fee routing
Gipp created a GitHub account some time after the original post had already gone viral, rather than before it. He then shared the repository as the official channel for funding continued development, and 100 per cent of the token's creator fees were directed to that GitHub account.
In his statement he noted that several unrelated tokens had been launched in his name, that he considered many of them attempts to take advantage of buyers, and that he supported and would work on the token that routed fees to his repository.
Creator interaction
Holders asked Gipp to add the contract address to his profile biography to confirm the association. He replied that he would do so shortly but was occupied at the time. The exchange is one of the clearest points of direct interaction between the developer and the token community.
